Recently I have been doing some soul searching on what my opinions are on true weddings. Weddings for me, are where two people come together to share their story with their family and friends. They have a book in their hearts that needs to be carefully laid out just as a wedding dress is laid out for the bride to be.
There are emotional, heartfelt moments, and moments of pure insanity that makes everyone wonder why in the world are we doing this!
Here's the thing- planning a wedding is not about how much a couple has in their budget but more about the story the couple wants to tell everyone. So is Glitz and Glamour with over the moon designs amazing-yes absolutely!
But so are weddings that include the smallest of budgets where the whole family chips in to make handmade place cards, where certain individuals are designated to make pies for the amazing dessert table, or where the planner- me, has the honor of sitting down with the bride and groom and witnessing a story unfold. As a planner I can help you do this on a completely different level and stay in your budget.
What I as a planner over the years have honed in on is that each wedding is this amazing journey that a couple takes. Each step needs to be cherished and looked at as a new step into their new beginning. While I know that having the ultimate budget makes things easier- I also know that having a limited budget means you get to have your ultimate wedding if you think outside the box.
