Imagine yourself on the morning of your wedding hearing a bubbling brook or waking to the smell of hollyhocks and being surrounded by mountains. This is Vermont. When I became a Weddings and Events planner here, I did so because of the endless beauty that I see on a daily basis. Beauty that does not come from just the mountains, rivers, and lakes that are here, but from the landscapes of the wonderful barns, wineries, inns and restaurants. I have the privilege of living right here in Lamoille County where every morning when I wake there is sure to be some kind of inspiration peeking through one of my windows. I was lucky enough to marry in August of 2009 at what I think is one of the most beautiful barns in Lamoille County, The Barn at Boyden Farm, which was beyond beautiful. Many of the venues that brides & grooms and us wedding vendors are privileged to go to have what I like to call a rustic simplicity with a WOW factor.

Just a Little Splash of Class
Jackie’s Top Five Tips in Wedding Ceremony Etiquette
1. 1. Stand up everyone! Raise your right hand: this is the side that the groom stands on and also the side his family sits on. Stand up again! Raise your left hand: this is the side the bride stands on and also the side her family sits on.
2. 2.For the handsome groomsmen: When escorting the beautiful bridesmaids down the aisle they will be on your left and escort them with of course your left arm.
3. 3.The flower girl: Tradition- and yes you can break tradition. However if you want to walk on petals by yourself, your flower girl will walk out just before the glowing bride.
4. 4.Your master of ceremonies: You have lots of options here, two choices are: they can walk out by themselves and start the wedding procession or they can walk out with the groom & best man.
5. 5.The order of the recessional: Bride & Groom first, Flower girl & ring bearer next, Maid of honor & best man, Bridesmaids & ushers/groomsmen to follow.
